Professor Jeroen Hendricks

Professor of Cardiovascular Nursing and is affiliated with the Centre for Heart Rhythm Disorders, University of Adelaide and the Royal Adelaide Hospital
Professor Hendriks holds the Leo J Mahar Cardiovascular Nursing Chair at the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Flinders University and the Centre for Heart Rhythm Disorders at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Adelaide, Australia.
He is fortunate to hold a Future Leader Fellow provided by the Heart Foundation of Australia. He has been a visiting professor at Linköping University, Sweden, and has been trained at the department of Cardiology, Maastricht University Medical Centre, and the department of Health Services Research, Maastricht University, Maastricht, the Netherlands.
Hendriks' research focus and expertise is in developing and implementing novel models of care delivery and integrated care management for chronic (cardiac) conditions, in particular atrial fibrillation, as well as the necessary practice redesign and health care reform associated with this. This includes: person centered care, multidisciplinary team approaches, eHealth and technology, and redesigning health care. He applies health services research, knowledge translation and implementation science.
To date he has (co)authored over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters.
Hendriks holds a PhD and MSc from Maastricht University, Maastricht, the Netherlands.
